Crypto currency markets: Bitcoin and altcoin analysis

During the last decades, the concept of commerce has evolved due to the widespread use of internet and the rapid development of technology. While technological development stimulated electronic commerce, the idea of cash has gained a new dimension with alternative payment methods. Money is no longer a physical entity, but a more abstract concept. Nowadays, virtual crypto currencies are more confidential with the development of the technological infrastructure and they become more common across the globe. This research examines the crypto currency markets and the technological background. Particularly, Bitcoin, the largest market cap in the world, and Altcoin markets are investigated along with the the block chain system which is the main technology for modern virtual currencies. The study aims to outline the extent that people may adopt crypto coins and main purposes of their usage. The potential advantages and disadvantages of Bitcoin and Altcoin markets are discussed along with recent developments. In addition, the study analyzes the Bitcoin price fluctuations and the effects of crypto currencies on current economic activities as well as on the world economy during the next decades.
