Abstract (EN)

Weighting methods, which are used to analyse Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problems, have an important role to decision makers for making the best and satisfactory decision. The aim of this study is to compare Max100, Pairwise Comparison and SWARA weighting methods according to their variability statistics on related criteria for an automobile selection problem. This study differs from previous studies by including newly developed SWARA weighting method. The study sample consisted of Uşak University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Science, Department of Management academics and students. 139 people participated in the study. Data are acquired through surveys. The analysis of the data was carried out with Excel and SPSS 18.0 programs. According to the findings of the study, variability of Pairwise Comparison method is higher than Max100 and SWARA methods. In addition, Max100 is the easiest method to use whereas Pairwise Comparison is the most reliable method.
