Abstract (EN)

Neoliberal economic system which has been originated by the effect of globalization process after 1990 caused financial crisis which has never been so frequent in any term of the economical history and such negativeness revealed by crisis took effect on the business activities of firms.This doctorate thesis which has the title of "Analyzability of the Effect of Crisis on Manufacturing Industry Using Financial Ratios" aims to define the effect on financial indicators of firms as of the manufacturing industry subsectors. For this reason 18 financial ratios of liquidity, financial structure, efficiency, profitability, growth of the manufacturing industry companies in the stock market of Istanbul taken from their financial statements between 2006 and 2010 and 5 crisis indicators for Turkey in 2008 crisis before, during and after the crisis has been accepted as the variables of research. Factor analyze method is used in the research as we have many variables and to identify which variables have effect in which subsectors.In this research it has been found out that 2008 crisis which is a third generation crisis affected the rate of liquidity, efficiency and profitability of subsectors of manufacturing industry negatively.With this thesis, contributes building financial policies against the risk of financial crisis and the findings helps the companies in manufacturing industries to minimize the risk of crisis with the data held as well as it states the originality of the thesis.
