Abstract (EN)

In this study, which focuses on the language of the Bosniaks living in Kırklareli, the data collected from the recordings of the participants' spontaneous speech and dialogues during the field research have been compared with the standard language in terms of morphology and vocabulary. As a result, the hypothesis that the language of Bosniaks living in Turkey has a heterogeneous structure from a dialectological perspective has been confirmed specifically in the context of the language spoken by Bosniaks in Kırklareli. Furthermore, it has been determined that in the language of the Bosniaks in Kırklareli, the Sancak dialect, in particular, is more dominant than compared to other dialects of the Bosnian language. In the introductory section of our study, we have provided information on the language family, brief history and dialects of the Bosnian language. The first chapter addresses the migration of Bosniaks, a significant component of the mass migration to present-day Turkey following the decline of the Ottoman Empire's influence in the Balkans, and focuses on the general characteristics of the study area, the province of Kırklareli. Following this section, the morphological structure of the language spoken by Bosniaks in Kırklareli has been compared with that of the standard language in the second chapter. In the third chapter of our study, the vocabulary emerging from the participants' texts has been examined in the context of standard Bosnian language and dialects.
