Abstract (EN)

Due to the pressure on the free and scientific thought of Scholastic era it has been claimed that there is a conflict between the religion and science. In 17th century, there has been a great deal of change in reaching knowledge and its possibility along with development in science, and accordingly all science-based view of cosmology has changed. This scientific approach presented mechanical, materialist and a determinist universe. In 19th century, it went further and claimed that religious statements are meaningless and bore no information value, and revealed that there is a conflict between religion and science. However, radical paradigmatic changes which occured in physics at the beginning of 20th century offered an opportunity to build a new cosmology by destroying the determinist and absolute understanding of the universe. The new physics, namely quantum physics, changed our view of structure of matter completely and, presented a vague, fuzzy universe in which probabilities are dominant, instead of a view of absolute and predictable universe. Although things offered to us may seem contrary to common sense at the beginning, new approach in physics showed us that there is not a conflict between religion and science, and there is a dialogical relationship in between. In addition, it seems that a lot of theological issues have been described more comfortably facilitating the data of quantum physics.Key Words: Quantum, Physics, Religion, Science, Philosophy, Modernity, Enlightenment,Positivism, God, Cosmology.
