Abstract (EN)
Irony, which is an important way of expression in Western Literature, is a Greek word, and it is generally defined as telling something but meaning its opposite. Irony, in Arabic Literature, is known as expressions like mockery, clowning and sarcasm. In general, it is separated into two parts as verbal and situational. Like other sides of Qur'an, Its literary side attracts attention on itself and formed a study field for researchers. Irony, which is a rhetoric style, a part of brevity in Qur'an increased the affect of expression, added beauty to remark and literary delight. Our study is consisted of an entrance, two chapters and a conclusion. In entrance part, we tried to express the subject, purpose, importance, method and sources of the study. In the first chapter, we studied concept and rhetoric which have semantic and artistic relation with irony in Arabic Language and its rhetoric. In the second chapter, we handled the usage of irony and its implementation style as a literary art in Qur'an style such as Qur'an and its rhetoric, component of irony in Qur'an, characteristics, reason and purpose. In the conclusion part, we evaluated all the data we obtained during our study and submitted its summary. Key Words: Irony, mockery, clowning, sarcasm, allusion, hint, socratic irony.
