Abstract (EN)
Property and ownership have always been a crucial problem for mankind since its creation. It can be said that the creation of the first humankind, its placement in Paradise, and as well as its expulsion revolves around the relationship between humankind and property in the Qur'an. In order to sustain his/her life human beings need many things and to meet these, certain things should belong to them. Housing, clothing, objects which will be used in daily life, vehicles, and foodstuffs have always been a requirement according to the conditions of its time for the human who aims to acquire these. Peace and happiness were the feelings of human beings who meet their basic needs, otherwise, this would lead to an anxious and restless life. However, the main problem here was what the limits of human beings' needs are. Throughout history, this question and problem have been one of the main subjects for religion, economics, law, and philosophy. Many professionals in these fields have proposed various ideas and opinions according to this question. Who owns the property? and what should be the boundaries for the property are the questions and problems that have been subjects to the evaluation in human history from diverse aspects and even from opposite perspectives. The fact that these problems are fundamentally economic, these problems led to both civil wars and wars between states. Hence, the problem of the property has been assessed as the bloodiest problem of history. 232 The property problem of humankind is a crucial subject on which the Quran, the holy book of the last divine religion Islam, referenced and commented many times. Since the relationship between humankind and property is being discussed under different contexts in verses it can be said that this subject is one of the fundamental subjects of the Qur'an. Many subjects such as generosity, stinginess, greed, rivalry, hatred, friendship, enmity, family relations, marriage, divorce, custody, inheritance, war, loot, slavery, zakat, alms, infaq, etc. are related to property. Issues about the limits and the rights to own property which is the most bloody and difficult problem of history and today could be overcome by pursuing the truths shown by the Qur'an. This is mainly because the Qur'an did not deprive humans of owning property which would lead to laziness, nor did want them to turn into a materialist by opening all the ways. The most appropriate and applicable solution to the property problem has been stated by the Qur'an as building a society in which everyone meets their basic needs but the non-needs will be shared with the needy.
