Abstract (EN)

The word "rijal", which is mentioned many times in the Qur'an with its derivatives, means "adult men". This corresponds to the half of the society that is the addressee of the Qur'an as a quantity. But what makes this word even more important is that, in the context of rujûl, it refers to people with certain characteristics and high personalities, including women as well as adult men. This word, which is handled both semantically and sociologically in the study, has been conceptually examined and analyzed in many ways. Within the framework of the semantic analysis of the concept of Rijal, the usage patterns of this concept in the Qur'an, its derivatives, grammatical modalities and differences in meaning have been analyzed. Thus, the identity of the word rijal in the Qur'an has been tried to be revealed. Within the framework of sociological analysis, we tried to identify rijal (men) and subjects through the verses in the Qur'an, and to evaluate and analyze these subjects both within themselves and in general in the context of rujûliyet (masculinity). Naturally, while analyzing the sociology of men, we tried to evaluate women as the opposite sex in many places in this sense. Because men and women are mentioned together or mutually in many parts of the Qur'an. In this context, we tried to analyze the places where they are mentioned together and the places where they are mentioned separately, by making use of the sources of tafsir and hadith. We tried to understand and explain the sociology of the situations arising from the difference in the physiology of men and women, in the context of the wisdom of the Qur'an through causes and consequences.
