Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out by the East-88, Nenehatun, Lancer and Alparslan bread wheat varieties developed by the Eastern Anatolia Agricultural Research Institute and the Tir wheat widely cultivated around the Lake Van. repetitive. In the study, the effects of five different varieties (East-88, Nenehatun, Lancer, Alparslan and Tir wheat) were investigated in the drought stress conditions (Control, -0.45, -0.77, -1.03 Mpa) with different osmotic pressure and the effects on seedling growth were investigated. According to the results obtained from the study, the amount of polyethylene glycol, which creates the osmotic stress of drought, increases the properties of the examined properties (germination rate, germination power, coleoptil length, root length, shoot length, shoot fresh weight, root fresh weight, root dry weight, shoot dry weight, root / shoot length, relative water content) was found to be affected negatively and it was determined that tuna wheat was the most tolerant in terms of drought and this type was followed by Lancer type. Keywords: Bread wheat, Drought stress, Drought tolerance, PEG 6000, Osmotic stress.
