Effect of organizational image on job satisfiction and a case study

Organizational image as a concept gaining importance for organizations is the most important element of the organization perceived by workers, competitors and customers of the organization. On the other hand, another concept having importance for the nowadays organizations is effective using of human resources. The most effective way to use human resources effectively is to increase job satisfiction of workers. Power of organizational image of an organization affects relation between workers and customers of the organization. For this reason, organizational image may also affect job satisfiction of workers. Thus, effects of organizational image on job satisfiction was researched in the research.In the research, organizational image was examined at four sublevels as innovation, reliability, performance and social responsibility, and job satisfiction was examined at three sublevels as wage, promotion and award. Relation of organizational image with general job satisfiction, job satisfiction provided by wages, promotion and awards were examined in the research.According to the results, wheras there were a positive correlation between organizational image and job satisfiction (p<0.01), it was seen that job satisfiction provided by wages had the most relevance with organizational image, and job satisfiction privded by promotion and awards were in respectively importance in examining of sublevels.Key Words: Job Satisfiction; Organizational Image; Wages; Promotion; Awards.
