Abstract (EN)
One of the topics of major importance within the last decade is symbolism in corporate identity design. In corporate identity design, the most important representative element in creating a brand is a company's symbol-brand "emblem". Also designing emblems by using geometric shape references in corporate identity design is an increasingly preferred approach. In particular, preferring triangle as a shape in corporate identity design, within the frame of symbolism is because the triangle is the oldest basic shape of humanity and has a history in communicating by pictograms before writing. In symbolic anthropology, semiotics, graphic design and visual communication design the shape of triangle has a basic importance and also is a fundamental element of modern age trilogy "triangle-square-circle", and is an indispensable emblem in corporate identity design. Social scientists, anthropologists, mass communicators and designers studied language as the first matter of communication followed by pictures and visual language, the ability of abstract thinking as an extension of symbolic thinking and perception. They searched for an upper language by creating a sign-symbol language and developed new ways and methods of communication. This thesis involves "Symbolism in corporate identity design and the example of triangle symbol; an anthropological review of the triangle symbol as an emblem". Methods used in the thesis are as follows; • Oral, in-depth interview • Conducted surveys Within this research; literature reviews in cultural anthropology, semiotics, mass communication, graphic design and visual communication design are done, different approaches to the social sciences are analyzed, ethical approaches are tested by the use of qualitative-quantitative inquiries and in-depth interviews with seven national and seven international companies. In the last chapter, to interpret corporate identity on different occupational groups surveys are used. The influence of the shapes used and the importance of accentuated characteristics and the triangle shape as a reminiscent and explicative are tested on cognitive, sensitivity levels and by demographic questions the rate of internet use, educational profile, gender and results are evaluated. Results as: Triangle 'shape most' association to operate geometric shapes and gender of the respondent in terms of the results showed significant differences. Corporate Identity in the Explanatory Figures about the findings; 'Color' in the first degree, 'Font Face and Font' in the second degree, 'Historical Figures', 'natural way' he has emerged as an important element. In terms of gender, 'Color' very significant 'Font' There are significant differences. 'Corporate Identity that calls forth the Authority Properties' findings regarding the; 'Reliability' as the most important elements of the first row, the second row in 'Quality' and 'Success' is an important element.
