This research proposes a CSR framework and implementation guidelines for the service sector of Ghana. Ghana has gone through various stages of economic development since independence. From an agricultural economy to an industrial economy with the service sector currently being the major contributor to GDP making Ghana one of the promising economies in the world. However, Ghana's success story is as a result of economic recovery programs and social intervention policies introduced by successive governments to make life bearable for the people with little effort from the Ghanaian corporate sector. The Ghanaian corporate sector does little to complement the effort of the government to curb corruption, protect the environment to ensure a sustained economic development. This gap is caused by the absence of CSR policies and implementation guidelines to serve as maps for firms to follow. This research therefore sought to address the problem by presenting the proposed policy for the dominant sector of the economy. The research is conducted on three levels using record keeping method to collect secondary data. The first level explains the growth of the economy from agricultural after independence to a service economy with emphasis on the service sector as the largest sector of the Ghanaian economy. The second stage explains CSR and its importance to both employers and employees using existing models for illustration purposes. The final stage of the research focused on the development of CSR policy framework for the Ghanaian service sector with implementation strategies.
