The effect on the international competitiveness of the country of the corporate structure in Turkey

The concept of competitiveness is one of the basic elements of the economic performance of a country and factors increasing competitiveness has great importance for the country's economic achievements. For this reason, the factors determining competitiveness are investigated and the position of the institutional structure of the countries is examined. Whether the institutional structure indicators have an impact on the competitiveness of countries are analysed together with the Turkish case; the institutional structure variables and competitiveness of Turkey. In this direction, time series analysis is applied. Firstly, unit root tests are made to determine the stationarity of variables. Then, long-term analyses are applied. As a result of these econometric analyses, it is seen that there is a relationship between variables of institutional structure and competitiveness of Turkey. Also, it has been proven that the indicators have been effecting the competitiveness of Turkey. Keywords: Institutional Structure, International Competitiveness, Competitive Index
