Abstract (EN)

The theme of this work is the regional integration initiatives in Latin America. First, the definition, content and development of theories of regional integration will be addressed. Later, the experiences of integration in Latin America, which emerged after the Second World War and are still present, will be examined. In this context LAFTA, ANDEAN, CACM, MERCOSUR, SICA, ALBA and UNASUR initiatives are the integration initiatives to be examined. As these integration initiatives have emerged at different times, the differences and similarities arising from the differences in the integration efforts of periodic features and the scope of the integration initiatives will be discussed and the process explanatory power of the neo-functionalist theory will be tested. In this way, fundamental problems that may be encountered in today's integration processes will be identified.
