Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effect of Lax Vox Voice Therapy Technique (LVSTT) on students' voice properties was investigated. In the research, it was studied with students who took individual voice training lessons in the 2nd year of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Department of Fine Arts Education, Department of Music Education in the 2017-2018 academic year. In the study, in which the pre-post test experimental research design with the control group was used, a total of 20 students, 10 in each of the experimental and control groups, took part. In line with the purpose of the research, which group would be the experimental and control group was determined on voluntary basis. The studies lasted for a total of 8 weeks and voice training with LVSTT was performed in the experimental group and vocal training activities were performed in the control group. In the pre-test and post-test, the maximum phonation time of the participant students' voices, auditary perceptual, videolaringostroboscopic, Turkish Singing Voice Handicap Index (SVHI) data were recorded. In addition to these, in the post test, the opinions of the students in the experimental group about the LVSTT applications were taken. In the study, in which quantitative and qualitative data were collected, quantitave data were compared with non-parametric tests, and qualitative data were analyzed with content analysis. As a result, it was determined that the maximum phoation times of the experimental group students who recieved voice training with LVSTT in voice training were longer than control group students who received voice training and their voices more efective in the breathiness problem. There was no change in the pre-post test data of both groups in the videolaringostoroboscopic examination resaults. In the Turkish Singing Voive Handicap Index, no significant difference was found beetween the two groups and within the groups in the pre-post test measurements. According to the experimental group students, it was determined that LVSTTcontributed to the development of voice and personal awareness. On the other hand, the expressions of the students who have health problems and the students who have difficulty in maintining are determined as the difficulties experienced in the LVSTT applications.
