Abstract (EN)
For centuries, the concept of value has been among the most discussed issues and has been the subject of philosophical discussions. Furthermore, it has been associated with the individuals' judgments and the lives, moral principles and beliefs of societies. It has been described in different ways, but a widely acknowledged description hasn't been able to achieved. Value is a concept concerned with what people see as valuable and how much they value it. The stability, harmony, security, happiness, peace of the society and having individuals living in justice, freedom, equality, love and respect depend on internalizing of ethos by the society. "Ethos of High School Students: This Study Called Malatya High School Model" has been carried out in Malatya High School which has an Anatolian and a general department, and 200 girls and 155 boys 25% of the students at all levels are studied by taking the genre into account. The data achieved in this descriptional study has been gathered through scales and questionnaires and analyzed. In this study, the sociological significance of values are handled by making up a conceptual framework of values and social, religious and familial values of high school youth are discussed in terms of ethos. It has been concluded that the young care about national and religious values but are reluctant to perform religious duties. Moreover, it has been understood that they care about familial and friendship values and they attach a big importance to individual, social and modern values. Finally, it has been shown that the young put themselves into a different place when it comes to world view, way of life and future expectations, and degeneration of values both in the minds of the individuals and in public life is regarded as a big problem by them Key Words: Value, Norm, Attitude, Belief, Youth
