Tourism geography of the Maku Region

This thesis is composed to discuss the geographic tourism of Maku free zone. As other important issues, tourism is also connected with geographical environment. In this study the value and touristic potentials of Maku free zone have been introduced and it is aimed to find some solutions for possible problems regarding tourism. Having a unique social, natural and economical structure, Maku free trade and industrial zone have rich tourism resources. In fact, it has potential advantages for tourism, and regarding natural resources and cultural values, it owns a great wealth. Historically, this zone is located on Silk Road and has a strategic position because of being a border city and having a well-developed custom.
