Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to investigation of the structural situation and biological aspects of the rainbow trout hatcheries in the Malatya province. For this purpose, the data obtained from the rainbow trout hatcheries in the Malatya province was investigated. In literature survey conducted in 2014, no evidence of any work done in this field. Therefore, this study is expected to make a significant contribution to the scientific literature and this area. According to the obtained results, in this study, the management structure of rainbow trout hatcheries in the Malatya province was the determined as 50% comparies-partners, 40% family-party and 10% cooperative. The 75% of exiting hatcheries was found to the less than 20 km away from residental centers such as province center, country and town, and 25% was found to be 20-50 km away. The proportions in the total capacity of the small-scale (˂2 million units/year), medium-scale (2-10 million units/year) and large-scale (˃10 million units/year) enterprises in the total capacity found as 4.18%, 44.15% and 51.68%, respectively. The amount of fingerling production of to these enterprises in 2015 is a total of 21.514.292 units. In the analysis, when production efficiency of these enterprises in 2015 was compared, it was found that the statistical differences was significant in the three groups (P˂0.05). Large and medium capacity enterprises have statistically higher significant productivity than small capacity enterprises (P˂0.05). The rainbow trout hatcheries in the Malatya province are generally small-scale family business-type. Because of the financial shortness, the enterprises make production in primitive conditions. The enterprises which have financial opportunities can not employ enoughly trained staff to use the new technology. Therefore, some enterprises should only be directed to fingerling production and should be encouraged. It is suggested that the owner of enterprises can be organized, incorporated and get benefit from grant funds.
