Abstract (EN)

In this study, the preconcentration of the brilliant blue dye used in various food products using magnetic nanoparticles and its determination by UV-Vis spectrophotometer were carried out. 20 μg brilliant blue and 200 mg magnetic nanoparticles were added to the model solution and mixed by vortex. After separating the solution and the solid phase with the help of a magnet, the adsorbed brilliant blue was eluted with a mixture of 7000 μL ethyl alcohol and 3000 μL 1 M HCl acid, and then absorbance was measured at 630 nanometers with a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. For the optimization of the method, parameters such as magnetic nanoparticle amount, HCl concentration, eluent volume, sample volume, interference effect of different dyes, different ion effect, vortex mixing time were investigated. The recovery % for brilliant blue was found to be higher than 95%, and the detection limit was found to be 0.09 μg/L in the study using blank solutions. In order to test the accuracy of the method, the method was applied by adding the analyte to the samples containing brilliant blue dyes and quantitative results were obtained. The method was applied to various beverage and confectionery samples containing brilliant blue. Keywords: Brilliant Blue, Magnetic Nanoparticle, Magnetic Solid Phase Extraction
