Level of agricultural mechanization and tractor status of Mardin and its districts

In this study, agricultural mechanization level in Mardin and its districts and tractors in Mardin were tried to determine by using TURKSTAT datas and analyzing same studies done before present study. Agricultural mechanization level were tried to calculate by using some parameters such as Agricultural area per tractor (ha/Tractor), number of tractors per 1,000 hectares (Tractor/1000ha), average tractor power per hectare (kW/ha), average tractor power (kW), number of agricultural tools and machines per tractor (Tool-Machine/Tractor). In this study, Dargecit was found to has the highest agricultural area per tractor with 708,1 ha/Tractor while Mazıdağı has the lowest area per tractor with 26,15 ha/Tractor. Mazıdağı has the highest number of tractors per 1,000 hectares with 38,24 Tractor/1000ha while Dargecit has the lowest number of tractors per 1,000 hectares with 1,41 Tractor/1000ha. In this study, average tractor power per hectare (kW/ha), average tractor power (kW), number of agricultural tools and machines per tractor parameters were calculated too, The highest values for 3 parameteres were found as Mazıdağı with 1,239 kW/ha, Derik with 50,61 kW and Dargecit with 10 Tool-Machine / Tractor respectively. In terms of the level of agricultural mechanization of Mardin, the general situation has emerged as 58,75 ha / Tractor, 17,02 Tractor / 1000ha, 0,74 kW / ha, average 43,26 kW, 5,54 Tool-Machine / Tractor.
