Abstract (EN)
This thesis investigates the feminist and traumatic elements present in 'By the Bog of Cats…', a contemporary interpretation of the Medea myth. Through a study of feminism and feminist theater, the feminist themes within Medea and By the Bog of Cats… are identified. As the play deals with themes of trauma, a literature review is conducted on psychoanalytic theories. The symbols and surreal entities in By the Bog of Cats… are analyzed to understand the play's dramaturgy.
