Abstract (EN)

Kemikli, Ayamama, Kağıthane and Alibeyköy streams connected to the Marmara Sea in Istanbul: It is located in basin areas where different business lines such as quarries, concrete batching plants, repair and maintenance workshops and residential areas are also located. climate change caused by global warming, Turkey as well as all over the world leads to some environmental problems. Torrential rains, especially during seasonal transitions, cause floods and overflows in stream beds. There is an increase in sediment materials transported to the stream bed by downpours. In order to avoid negativity due to accumulated sediments, stream beds should be regularly maintained and flow should be provided. Otherwise, as a result of sudden rains, bad odors and various diseases spread after floods and floods around the stream and threaten human health. AHP and TOPSIS methods, which are among the MCDV (Multi-Criteria Decision Making) methods, have been used in order to remove the sediment accumulated on the bottom slope of the stream determined for the Kemikli, Ayamama, Kağıthane and Alibeyköy streams downstream of the Marmara Sea, to remove the bottom mud and to determine the most ideal method for providing the stream flow. Due to the unique conditions of the regions where the streams flow into the sea, 4 different alternatives were evaluated with 4 main criteria determined for this method and 4 sub-criteria determined under each main criterion. The weights of the criteria were determined as a result of 11 expert opinions and literature reviews.
