Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, Pınar Selek's three fables -Su Damlası, Siyah Pelerinli Kız, and Yeşil Kız- are chosen as subjects to inquire for exemplifying "feminist literature". Gender roles which are obtained through family during childhood start to be internalized by the child with the beginning of the child's socialization process. The function of the classic fables, which are told to children to internalize these roles, has been the topic of many thesis, books, and articles. For that sense we didn't want to stop at topics like "presentation of gender roles in classic fables", or "women's position in classical fables". Instead of that we found it important to work on fables named as "new fables" which can be considered as an example of "feminist literature" where they displace gender roles, and we witness this displacement by seeing the silent, passive, and needy women of patriarchal ideology where they are considered as secondary against men, finding their voices, becoming active in their decisions, being the protagonist in their stories, and being on the road to become a free subject in these fables.
