Abstract (EN)

In this study, the Sufi aspect of Mehmed Sıdkı Esif has been examined. This study wascarried out through the life of the Sufi, his education, his Works, his services, the sects headopted and the formations he pioneered. Mehmed Sıdkı Esif was born in Tavşanlı in 1698. Being the founder of the Tavşanlı Mevlevi House is the prominent feature of the mystic. He is the fourth generation grandson of Arslanbey, known as the symbol of Tavşanlı. Being a member of the Halveti sect under the influence of his father at an early age, the Sufi who grew up in the Halveti culture joined the Mevlevi order as a student of Mustafa Sakıp Dede, again with the encouragement of his father. After completing his education in Kütahya Mevlevi House, he returned to Tavşanlı. Esif Dede, who founded a Mevlevi House in Tavşanlı, served as a guide in this lodge for more than 6 years. He died at the age of 35 and qwas buried next to the Mevlevi House where he was the founder. Mehmed Sıdkı Esif led a Sûfi life with the influence of the culture in which he was born into. Sufi, whose ancestors were the people of the sect, were fed from the source of both Halveti and Mevlevi sources. Within this richness of culture and meaning, he has packed many services and Works into his short life. He has a life that can set an example for us in the local sense and must be examined and read correctly. In this study, the Sûfi emphases in the life of Mehmet Sıdkı Esif were examined. First of all, his family, education life, affiliation and sects, which are the source of these emphasis in his life, are discussed. Afterwards, the Sûfi aspect of his only work, Divan, was investigated. The Sûfi terms he underlined both in his life and in his work were identified and explained from the same point of view. The Sûfi ulema has a sipiritual life mostly on Mevlevi has been viewed from a general view perspective taking into account Halveti, which constituts its infrastructure. In the 18th century, in which the Sûfi lived, by researching and examining the current expressions of these concepts, which are considered as the basic dynamics of the Sûfi tradition such as irshad, sect and sheikh in an attempt was made to build a bridge from the past to the present.
