A research on the measurability of space perception and psycho-social quality: A sample of Armada Life Street

How is the relationship between man and space shaped? What is the impact of this interaction process on perceptual and behavioral situations? What are the things that attract people's visual attention and what are these things determined? How can human and environmental interaction be analyzed using both traditional and current techniques? In the thesis study behavioral and perceptual concepts that may be answered to such questions are addressed and discussed in the psycho-social dimension. A street called Armada Life Street was created in this area, which is between the two shopping center buildings and the business tower, open to urban use and accessibility, can be spent time independently of the imposition of consumption. Unlike the inward-oriented shopping mall typologies that are known for this purpose, it is allowed people to come together and produce social and cultural activities. It is also regarded as an important location because it is a part of a pedestrian road that can be joined to other axles in the city at the same time. Making of perceptive and behavioral analysis of bi-directional interaction between man and space specific to Armada Life Street constitutes the scope of the study. In this regard, in the thesis study; it has been scrutinized that how the study area is perceived by the users, what is the level of satisfaction and gladness and how user behaviors are shaped accordingly in the context of changing conditions, circumstances and spatial needs. However, the analyzing of which spatial documents the users have established visual communications, which elements attract visual attention and for which reason it may have been focused on these points have made up the purpose of the study.
