Abstract (EN)

The bituminous hot mixture used as a flexible superstructure on highways should serve the increasing traffic load for a long time with the increase in population. Modified bitumen studies are carried out with various additives in order to improve the hot bituminous mixture on this subject. Considering the economic benefit and durability of the studies, it is aimed to obtain better performance and a more economical result with which additive in appropriate environmental conditions. For this purpose, the search for alternative additives continues. In this study, the results obtained by modifying the bituminous binder with 611 elastomer, MCR (melastol crumb rubber) and CR (crumb rubber) and using them together and separately were evaluated and compared with SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene), which is one of the most commonly used additives. In the study, the rheological properties of short and long term aged samples were tried to be determined and penetration, viscosity, dynamic shear rheometer, beam bending rheometer, multiple stress creep recovery were applied and also Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy test was applied for aged samples. In the results obtained, binders containing 611 and MCR give lower penetration values than binders containing only SBS and CR. The use of MCR together with the 611 additive not only provides significant savings in the 611 ratio, but also does not reduce the sensitivity to the heat that only the 611 modification will have. In binders containing double additives, the softening point value increases as the elastomer content 611 increases. The addition of MCR to the binder increases the workability by decreasing the viscosity value. It is seen that as the elastomer additive content of 611 and MCR-containing binders increases, the binders show higher elastic properties. It has been determined that the use of 611 elastomer together with MCR will improve resistance to low temperature cracking.
