Determination of vaginal infection frequency and perceived stress level of women with menaposis

The research was conducted as a descriptive study to determine the frequency of vaginal infections and perceived stress levels in menopausal women. The research was carried out with 105 women in the menopause period who agreed to go to Kırıkkale Yüksek İhtisas Hospital Polyclinic and the operating room. Data were collected between 07.03.2022 and 30.11.2022 using the Introductory Information Form and the Perceived Stress Scale (ASS). Frequency analysis (number, percentage, mean, median), independent two-sample t-test, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskall Wallis H test, Dunn test, Duncan test and one-way analysis of variance were used in the analysis of the data. It was determined that the mean age of menopause of these working women was 46.3 ± 5.38 and 54.3% of them were primary school graduates. 52.4% of women will have a vaginal structure. As a result of the research, the median PSS total score for menopausal women was 26 (9-48). While there was no common difference between women's perceived stress management according to the variables of marital status and systemic disorders, a difference was found between education level and perceived stress groups (p<0.05). As a result, a difference was found between the median values of the PSS score according to the complaints of malodorous discharge and painful outcome in menopausal patients (p<0.05). According to the results of the research, it is aimed to direct the perceived stress of menopausal women as the education level decreases. It can also overcome perceived stress in women who complain of foul-smelling discharge and painful outbreaks. Evaluation of the vaginal construction structures and perceived stress levels of health professionals serving in the field of women's health during menopause significantly increase the limits of the quality of life of women with menopause.
