Obedience of headmasters of burs high schools to ethics principles from the viev of the vocational high school teachers

The aim of this research consists of to what degree the headmasters of the vocational high schools obey the ethics principles such as justice , equitableness, liability, righteousness, democracy and respect at work and consists of determining, examining, evaluating and questioning this according to the views of the vocational lesson teachers and explaining these ethic principles that a headmaster should have to the people concerned.The research was applied on 338 vocational lesson teachers who work in the 11 Vocational High Schools in the central districts ?Osmangazi, Nilüfer, Yıldırım? of Bursa province. A questionnaire wihch was developed by Prof.Dr. İnayet Pehlivan Aydın to examine the ethics pirinciples of headmasters of highschools was used for the collection of data. The questionnaire is composed of two parts. In the first part there is a general explanation and an information form about the teachers who participate the questionnaire. In the second part there are 79 questions to evaluate the ethics pirinciples of the vocational high school headmasters. The results are analysed by SPSS software.Ethics principles of the vocational high school headmasters and level of their obedience to this principles do not show difference according to their sex, their titles and their duration of duty in their job. However there are differences according to their duration of duty where they work. The research revealed that the teachers whose work experience is 21 years and over find their headmasters fairer than the teachers whose work experience is 1-10 years. The vocational teachers expressed that the headmasters mostly obeyed the ethics principles.Key words : Ethics,Vocational lesson teachers.December 2008 Oğuz SELİMOĞLU
