The evaluation of modular teaching system of information technologies in the vocational and technical high schools via teachers

Technology and industry has become integral facts of today?s society culture. This formation affects education systems. With the industrial development, the Professional and technical education develop, as well, and there occurs changes in the structure. To ensure vocational?technical education and industry integrity will be possible supplying the train individuals with the programs prepared according to the sectoral development and faculty environment. Within this scope, since 2006-2007 training and educational year, modular education system has been implemented in vocational and technical secondary education institutions. With the help of modular teaching system, it aims the students to have required knowledge and skills which are necessary for their easy employment after graduation. It will be useful to take the views and assessments of the teachers to be able to implement modular teaching system. This study has been done to let the teachers evaluate the modular teaching system. Before starting the questionnaires studies for the research, current situation and necessary principles which will be obeyed were determined by doing the literature scanning. Within this scope, modular teaching system implemented in vocational and technical education, and teaching program of information technologies were researched. Questions of the questionnaire were set up for the teachers to evaluate the modular teaching system after the literature scanning and these questionnaires were applied among 93 teachers at various schools in Bursa.
