Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study, primarily, is to explain Michael Hardt's and Antonıo Negri's concept about "Empire" and "Multitude" clearly and analyze the criticism towards to these concepts afterwords. The concepts are handled in academic literature for inrernaitional relations as a political agent of interstate and they are also habdled in sociology dicipline for examining political and social structures as an analitical means. And in tihis study it is been tried to analyzed from a different perspective how and why these concepts were changed. If it is evaluated in historical period, changing socio-political structures generate the new frame of mind in terms of helping us to understand the new global world system that occured recently, Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri's "Empire/Multitude" thesis appears as a brand new point of view. In the study "Empire" and "Multitude" concepts which aim to reconceptualize the political subjects against political power, in a global world system with a general political power, are used as a key to explain Earth's currently power/hegemon situation. Afterwords, the criticism directed by other intellectuals towards the concepts of the writers are presented to readers. During the writing period of this thesis, a detailed literature search has been done, fundamental Works about the topic has been used and benefited from a wide bibliography. In the study main purpose is aimed to be comprehended easily by a reader who don't have any ıdea about the topic. Keywords: Hardt, Negri, Multitude, Empire, Capitalism, Labor
