Evaluation of Miftâh al-Arabiya language teaching series in terms of four basic language skills

This study consists of an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction part of the study, its subject, purpose, importance, method and limitations are mentioned. In the first chapter, general information about the importance of Arabic is given. In this direction, foreign language teaching methods and techniques are discussed. Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, which have an important place in foreign language teaching, were investigated independently. Types and models for these skills and teaching strategies are included. In addition, some criteria were determined for the effective use of basic language skills used in foreign language teaching. In the second part, the Miftâhu'l-Arabiyye series, which consists of introduction, A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels, is examined within the framework of these criteria. The study is limited to a total of nine books consisting of five levels, each level listening-speaking, reading-writing. Activities, dialogues and words used based on the achievements of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages were examined in terms of basic language skills. It has been determined that the questions, texts and activities used to understand the text prepared to comprehend basic language skills are up to date. In the conclusion part, the findings obtained within the framework of the criteria and basic language skills were evaluated within the limits. Positive and negative aspects were discussed in articles and suggestions were made where deemed necessary.
