Assesment of in-service training activities of Ministry of National Education by the teachers of vocational high schools (Sampling of Ankara)

The aim of this research is to make an assessment of in-service training applications given by Ministry of National Education, Directorate of In-service Training given to the teachers and adminstrators working at vocational and technical secondary technical institutions by taking the opinions of the teachers. The sampling of this research which has a descriptive quality is formed of 3296 vocational course teachers working at Industrial Vocational High Schools,Female Vocational High Schools, Trade High Schools and Vocational Education Centres(Apprenticeship Education Centres) and participated the educational activities in 123 in-service education centres. 250 teachers have been determined for the research by Stratified Sampling - Proportional Allocation method and questionnaires have been applied to all of them. 199 of these questionnaires have been accepted. SPSS package program has been used in analyzing these datas. The frequencies, percentages, arithmetical means and standart deviation of the datas have been calculated by making them group according to their properties. The findings of this research has showed that the teachers' opinions haven't been taken while determining in-service training needs, applications haven't been assessed while choosing the course attenders, the in-service training centers aren't enough in staff,instructional material,educational conditions and boarding places, the programs applied to the course attenders aren't enough at in-service training activities, educators are enough at in-service training activities, the course attenders can't be active because of not having information about the subject of the activites, the certificate given at the end of the course should be used in vocational rights and the money paid for the vocational trips, boarding and course payments to the course attenders participated in-service training activity isn't enough.
