Yılmaz, N. The Survey of The Anthropometric Features and Agility, Flexibility and Strength of National Team and Amateur League Badminton Players, Dumlupinar University Institute of Medical Sciences Physical Education and Sports Department Master Thesis, Kütahya, 2013. The aim of this study is to investigate basic motor features, flexibility, agility, strength, reaction time and body fat levels of national and amateur teams male and female badminton players.The target population of the study is the male and female badminton players who play badminton in both national team and local leagues and train regularly. Totally 92 volunteer players, 37 national badminton team players (21 males and 16 females) and 55 badminton players (31 males and 24 females) who play in local leagues of Kütahya Youth and Sport Centre, participated in the study in September and October in 2011.In addition to the general features (badminton playing length, age, height weight) of the participants, their flexibility (reach forth, dynamic flexibility), balance (flamingo balance test), strength (20 meter sit-up run, 3 minutes step test), jump (vertical jump, broad jump), speed and agility (20 meters run, zig zag run), reaction (touching discs), anthropometric (length, width measurements) and body fat percentages were taken.As a statistical method, homogeneity test was applied according to the sportsman level (national-amateur) and their gender (female-male). After homogeneity test, ?= 0.05 level significant Two Way Anova test was applied in order to determine whether there were any difference between sportsman level and gender.Test results showed that the difference between sportsman level (national-amateur) and gender (female-male) and flexibility, balance, strength, jump, speed and agility, reaction, anthropometric and body fat percentage measurement levels were significant. Generally the measurement levels of national badminton players, except for body fat level, were higher than amateur players. These features showed that long term and intense exercise and suitability for sports branch had a great effect on and flexibility, balance, strength, jump, speed and agility, reaction and anthropometric features.Key Words: Badminton, Anthropometric Measurements, Motor Tests.
