Muhammed Rızâ Âgehî's Riyâzü'd-Devle (1b-61b) (introduction-text-analysis-index)

This study prepared as a Ph.D. thesis contains the folios between [1b-61b] of the historical book named Riyâzü'd-Devle which is one of the latest works of Chagatai Turkish written by Muhammed Rızâ Âgehî. This study consists of five chapters. In the introduction chapter, it was given information about Chagatai Literature, the position of Riyâzü'd-Devle in the Khanate of Khiva Historiography, the author of the work, and the work itself. The transcriptional text of Riyâzü'd-Devle was given in the second chapter. The copy numbered as T 82/02 existing in İstanbul University Library was used as the base for the establishment of the text, the additions to the text are shown in square brackets. In the third chapter, the writing and language properties of the work were investigated, and the traditional text analysis methods were adhered to. In the fourth section, the dictionary and grammar index of the text was given. Reşit Rahmeti Arat's grammar index used in the work named Kutadgu Bilig was taken as the base while preparing the index. The person, place names, and ethnic names mentioned in the text were given in a separate section. In the last chapter, examples from the original edition of the text were given and a map belonging to the period of Khanate of Khiva was added to the appendix section.
