Abstract (EN)
THE EFFECTS OF JOB STRESS AND FEELINGS OF BURNOUT ON INTENT TO LEFT AS AN APPLICATION IN THE ACCOUNTING SECTOR ABSTRACT This thesis aims to investigate the relationship between job stress, burnout and turnover intention in the accounting profession. The accounting industry is known for its challenging and high-pressure working environment, which can significantly impact professionals' well-being and work attitudes. In this context, understanding the factors contributing to turnover intention is very important in retaining accounting industry employees and developing effective strategies for organizational success. The literature review conducted in this study addresses theoretical frameworks and empirical research on job stress, burnout, and turnover intentions in the context of the accounting industry. In addition, theoretical models explaining the connections between turnover intention and job stress and burnout are examined, emphasizing potential mediator and moderator factors that may affect these relationships. The research problem addressed in this study is determining to what extent job stress and burnout contribute to turnover intention in the accounting profession. The study also aims to identify the unique challenges and stressors specific to the accounting industry that may affect turnover intentions. By exploring these factors, the study aims to provide insight into the mechanisms underlying the relationship between job stress, burnout, and turnover intentions in the accounting profession. The aims of this study are twofold. The first is to examine the effect of job stress on turnover intentions in the accounting profession and the second is to investigate the effect of burnout on turnover intentions among accounting professionals. By analyzing the available literature and conducting empirical research, this study aims to contribute to the understanding of the complex interplay between job stress, burnout, and turnover intentions in the accounting industry.
