Mustafa Kutlu life–art-works

Mustafa Kutlu is one of the most prominent living author in Turkish literature. With his writings, he has brought a new breath to Turkish storytelling, becoming the voice of our people and making significant contributions to the literary world. Kutlu, who has been producing works for half a century, has drawn a panorama of the society he lives in with his works. His works have one foot in the past and one foot in the present. Mustafa Kutlu is a writer who has carried the past to the present with the language of the state. The subjects he chooses in his works, and the language he uses to present these subjects to us, are entirely local and national. In each of his works, he reflects us; each work belongs to us. He presents our people, our folk songs, our traditions, our architecture, and our culture, and we always find ourselves in his books. Every sentence of Kutlu smells of Anatolia. That is why Kutlu is so beloved and widely read in these lands. Mustafa Kutlu is a unique character. He is still writing stories; his "long story" continues. How does he lead such a productive writing life? What nourishes him? Who has influenced him? What is his aim in writing these texts? What does he consider while writing them? We will find answers to these and many more questions in this study. This study is a monographic study covering Mustafa Kutlu's life, art, and works. In the studies conducted about him so far, only certain aspects of the author have been discussed and emphasized. These are analyses based on his works. There has not been a holistic study on Mustafa Kutlu covering all aspects of him. Here, we have dealt with Mustafa Kutlu as a whole, with all his aspects from his life to his storytelling, from his essay writing to his magazine publishing. We first penned down the life of this blessed person who has always existed in Turkish literature for the last half century and contributed to the publishing world with a work almost every year. Then we shaped our thesis based on his art, ideas, and works that he put forward in this life. After interviewing the author and listening to his life story first-hand, and gathering information about his works and art, we evaluated them in our thesis. Our study consists of three parts. The first part is the life of the author; the second part is the examination and general evaluation of all of Mustafa Kutlu's works. The third part covers the author's views on art and literature. In the appendices section, the interview we conducted with Mustafa Kutlu is presented under the titles "Mustafa Kutlu's Life with His Own Words" and "Mustafa Kutlu through the Eyes of His Friends. " We hope that this study, prepared on Mustafa Kutlu, whom we consider to have an important place in Turkish literature and art over the past fifty years, will fill a gap regarding the author.
