Abstract (EN)

Language is the fundamental element of communication and is a set of rules. With the change and enrichment of human life, there are certain changes and developments in the language in line with the needs. These changes and developments in the language are followed through written texts. Literary works not only reflect the mentality of the period in which they were written, but also reflect the language characteristics of the period in which they were written. Based on the written texts, some information can be obtained both about the author's use of language and about the language characteristics of the period in which the work was written. Literary works have an important place in the development and enrichment of the language. The ability of a language without literature to express is limited. New meanings are attributed to words in literary works; sometimes new words are derived from the author's creative power. As it is known, it is the smallest meaningful unit word in a language. Words, on the other hand, are made up of phonetics and roots and affixes formed by these phonetics. For this reason, phonetic and morphological features have a special place in language studies. Based on this situation, in this study, Mustafa Kutlu's "Long Story", one of the well-known names of Turkish storytelling, was examined in terms of its phonetic and morphological features. Mustafa Kutlu is a storyteller who draws attention with the language he uses in his works, apart from the content and fiction of his works. The study consists of three parts. In the introduction part of the study, information about the work and its author, the purpose, importance and method of the study is given. In the second part, the work is analyzed in terms of phonetic and morphology. Under the title of phonetic properties, phonetic harmonies and phonetic events determined were examined in the text simultaneously and diachronically. Under the heading of morphological features, derivational suffixes, inflectional suffixes and parts of speech were examined according to their functions. In the part of explanation of text style, information about historical development of morphological features is also given. In the third part, the results obtained from the study are presented.
