Abstract (EN)

The transportation sector has an important place in today's world. The rising standard of living due to technological and economic development also affects the transportation sector. This has played an important role in the increase in the number of vehicles, especially on highways in our country. The increase in the number of vehicles has increased the importance of coatings applied to road superstructures on highways. In our country, hot asphalt mixture is generally preferred for surface coating on express roads. However, the application of these coatings can cause some problems in certain areas. In this study, witness bitumen with 60/70 penetration grade and PG 64-22 class was used. The witness bitumen is placed in a high-speed mixer. It was mixed in the mixer at a speed of 2000 rpm, at a temperature of 160°C for 2 hours, and modification was performed by adding 3%, 5% and 7% antimontrioxide nanoparticles to the witness bitumen. Since the aging condition on the bitumen during modification is also important, the witness bitumen sample was mixed for 2 hours under the same conditions. Using the bitumen obtained as a result of the modification, the performance of bitumen and bituminous hot mixture was evaluated according to the SuperpaveTM mixture design. Then, the performance grades were checked with pressurized aging vessel on the modified bitumen, rotary thin film heating test, beam bending rheometer, dynamic cutting rheometer, and rotary viscometer tests. In addition, based on these experiments, the wheel track strength and fatigue of bitumen
