Abstract (EN)

Language is natural instrument that provides communication between humans. Humans use language in order to convey their feelings and thought and in order to describe any kind of situation. Words have great importance in constituting communication. In Turkish, words sometimes has single meaning and sometimes more than one. Sometimes we want to express an intention with more than one word. In that case we use word groups. Turkish is head-final language. As word production and conjugation are done through abjunctions that are defined by head-final and vocal features, words go through pronunciation changes greatly in Turkish. In this sense.words that are conjugated and lexicalised are substantially important in terms of constituting the stem of a sentence unity that have formal and semantic association among themselves and find their meaning as a unity in a sentence. These groups are brought together in a unity according to certain rules. In this context, word groups in Poetry Books of Necati Cumalı, a Republic era writer and poet, titled as Yağmurlu Deniz, Başaklar Gebe, Ceylan Ağıdı, Yarasın Beyler, Güzel Aydınlık and all poems are studied. This study has been determined to contribute the researches of "Group of Words". Key Words: Turkish Language, Group of Words, Necati Cumali, Poem
