Abstract (EN)

283 es-Summân ve'l-Harîf (1962) focuses on the social and political events in Egypt before and after the revolition on 23 July 1952 and the effects of these events on the leaders of that period. et-Tarik (1963) indicates the negative results caused by the deviation from the goal as a result of the search for father, the represantive of the good, following the death of the mother, the representative of the evil. eş-Şehhâz (1965) points out the depression of a person who gives up the ideas that he is for and is attracted by a luxurious way of life. Şersera fevka'n-Nîl (1966) revolves around the seclusion of the intellectuals on a boat who are left aside after the revolution of the Juntas. Mîrâmâr (1967) focuses on the events that took place in a pension where a portrait gallery of Egyptian society of the sixties, can be found. The above mentioned novels of Mahfouz generally emphasize the thought rather than the action. The number of the characters are less when compared to the ones in his novels written before the revolution. In the five novels apart from Evladu Hâratinâ and Mîrâmâr, the plot revolves around just one character i.e. the hero. Flashbacks, dream vision tecnique, interior monologue and montage, etc... are the techniques used. Language used including the dialogues, on the other hand is the modern standard Arabic.283 es-Summân ve'l-Harîf (1962) focuses on the social and political events in Egypt before and after the revolition on 23 July 1952 and the effects of these events on the leaders of that period. et-Tarik (1963) indicates the negative results caused by the deviation from the goal as a result of the search for father, the represantive of the good, following the death of the mother, the representative of the evil. eş-Şehhâz (1965) points out the depression of a person who gives up the ideas that he is for and is attracted by a luxurious way of life.
