Ioecological and faunustical research on coccinellidae (Insecta: Coleoptera) species in Nevşehir and Samsun province environment

"Our thesis titled 'Bioecological and Faunistic Research on Coccinellidae (Insecta: Coleoptera) Species in the Vicinity of Nevşehir and Samsun Provinces' conducted field surveys in the years 2021-2022 in Samsun and Nevşehir provinces. In this study, members of the Coccinellidae family were investigated in terms of their biological, ecological, and faunistic aspects. The fieldwork mainly covered the year 2021. The collected specimens were identified in the laboratory, and 9 species belonging to the Coccinellidae family were determined. Four of these species were found in Samsun, and five were found in Nevşehir habitats. Literature review and comparison with previous studies were conducted, resulting in the discovery of two new records for Samsun province and five new record for Nevşehir province. Ecological data such as temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed, pressure, and soil temperature at 5 cm and 10 cm depths were evaluated during the field surveys. The aim of our thesis was to contribute taxonomically and bioecologically to the Coccinellidae fauna of Nevşehir and Samsun provinces, particularly by determining the biological control roles of these family taxa."
