This thesis deals with The Hashiya (footnote) of Hamza el-Karmani on Al-Baydawi's , by the scholar Noureddine Hamza el-Karmani , who died (after 871 AH). The importance of this Hashiya (footnote) comes from the opinions, quotations and inferences it contained that reflected the diversity of the education of Karmani and his prominent scientific personality. Its importance also comes from the large number of sources and resources that the author relied on in his footnotes. His book included various sciences, such as Arabic sciences): syntax, morphology, and rhetoric (and Sharia sciences: such as jurisprudence and its fundamentals, Faith, the science of interpretation and the sciences of the Qur'an (. The study followed the historical descriptive approach when reviewing the author's life and scientific biography and the methodology of investigation and commentary in the investigated book....The most important conclusion of this study: the richness of Hamza el-Karmani's footnote with sayings, opinions and objections which reflects his knowledge and his ability to explain the problem issues. Hamza el-Karmani was also distinguished by his details of the ways of the readings of Quran and his tendency towards preferring the mutawatir (frequent). readings of the Companions,which are supported by evidence from the Arabic language , over the abnormal readings. Hamza el-Karmani In his commentaries on al-Baydawi's interpretation quoted more from Al-Zamakhshari's book" al-Kashshaf" and from The book of Imam Al-Razi "Mafatih al-Ghayb", and from many who was not attributed to them. His Hashiya were also filled with many terms of logic and the fundamentals of jurisprudence, which gave it great scientific value.
