Abstract (EN)

This research examines the state of anger—an emotional reaction that emerges in human relationships in response to various events of daily life—from the perspective of hadith. The social transformations brought about by modern lifestyles and technological developments directly affect interpersonal relations; consequently, the need for the guidance of the Prophetic Sunnah, which encompasses all aspects of life, has increased even further. Within this framework, the Prophet Muhammad's approach and attitude toward anger management are identified, and the practical reflections of these teachings are explained with examples from relevant narrations. The study consists of an introduction and three main chapters. The introduction provides information about the subject, purpose, significance, methodology, and source evaluation of the research. The first chapter focuses on the concept of anger found in the hadith literature, as well as other terms related or similar in meaning. It also discusses the source of the feeling of anger, the relationship between human nature and anger, and the characteristics and categories of anger through conceptual analysis. The second chapter explores the Prophet Muhammad's teachings, example, and guidance regarding anger in the context of his life. The balance between his prophetic mission and his human aspect is maintained while detailing the subject. Under the heading "Reasons that Angered the Prophet," the causes of the Prophet's anger—an important part of the research topic—are addressed along with the situations in which he became angry. The third chapter examines the distinctiveness of the Prophet Muhammad in anger management. In this context, evaluations are made using explanatory examples found in relevant hadiths and sīrah sources, and the Prophet's attitudes and behaviors in the face of anger are analyzed in depth. The study also includes an examination of the authenticity of the related narrations in terms of their chains of transmission and textual integrity. The theoretical and practical approaches recommended in the hadiths regarding anger management are then explained through examples. The applicability of the methods mentioned in the narrations to contemporary life is also emphasized. Additionally, classical moral texts and modern psychology sources are included in the evaluation. In conclusion, the Messenger of Allah—described as the best example for humanity— acted in accordance with revelation concerning anger and anger management. Moreover, he left his ummah with a living and active Sunnah in this regard. His dynamic approaches to this matter will continue to exist until the end of time. Keywords: Hadith, Anger, Narration, Sunnah.
