Process of communication in the clasroom of lecturers

The arm of this study is to examine how the lecturers carry out the communication process in a detailed way. The study is conducted via phenemonology which is one of the models of qualitative search, and the messages that the lecturers have given verbally are examined. The subject (experimental group) of the study consist of four lecturers which lecture at the university of tourism and hotel management. Ten major area courses of second grade students' that lecturers teach during the day and night training were observed throughout 18 hour. The speech of the lecturers are recorded. After the tape-recording of the classes of the lecturers the data collected is analyzed. The content analysis method is applied to analyze the data obtained from the tape-recordings. The communication process of the lecturers in the class is classified as the source ( the lecturers), the transmitters ( approaches, methods, the techniques, and the materials used) and the receiver ( the students). They are also analyzed separately. In this study, it is tried to explain and investigate in a detailed way how the process of in-class communication occur. So, it ıs expected to contribute much to literature related to the subject. In the reseach and study to be conducted related to the subject, the process of non-verbal communication can be searched besides the process of verbal communication. In addition, the study like that can be applied to other institutions of education and graders.
