The relationship between school climate and leader member interaction according to teacher perceptions

In the study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between the perceptions of school climate and leader-member interaction of teachers who work at different educational levels. 410 teachers who work in primary, secondary and high schools in Siirt city centre participated in the study. 'Personal Information Form', 'School Climate Scale' and 'Leader Member Interaction Scale' were used in the data collection phase of the research. T-test, ANOVA Analysis and Pearson Correlation Analysis were used in the SPSS 22.0 program during the analysis of the data obtained in the research. At the end of the study, it was determined that teachers' perceptions of school climate and leader-member interaction perceptions were close to high levels. When examined according to demographic variables, it was found that teachers' perceptions of school climate showed significant difference according to age group, educational level and working time with the current school principal, while their perceptions of leader-member interaction differed significantly just according to the gender variable. When the relationships between dependent variables were analyzed, it was made firm that there was a positively and moderately significant relationship between leader-member interaction and school climate perception. Consequently, it can be said that the quality of leader-member interaction among teachers who work in primary, secondary and high schools affects the perception of school climate positively.
