Abstract (EN)
This research is done under the name of ? A Research of the Attitudes of theTeachers and the Administrators towards English? and is aimed of analyzing theirattitudes towars it. The research is substantiated among 94 teachers andadminisrators who work for both primary and secondary school teachers located inAnatolian side of ?stanbul. In this study?The Scale of the attitudes towards English?which is developed by Gürel(1986) and the information form which is prepared bythe researcher are used. In the scale that is used in this study there are 44 factorsincluding 22 positive and 22 negative expressions. The scale was used byUzunboylu(2002) before and the Cronbach Alfa value is measured as 0,96 in thisscale. The total points gained from the sample group is compared with thedemographical variables and were examined if they have significance on the levelp<,05. The data were analyzed by using SPSS programme. They were interpreted bydoing ( % ) percentage, t-test, Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann Whitney U test.The results gained from this study; the attitudes of the teachers and theadministrators towards English vary significantly in p<,05 according to teacherbranches and level of English.Key Words : attitudes towards English, Teachers and Administrators, Teachers,Administrators.
