The investigation of the relationship between individual innovative levels and web 2.0 technologies competency levels teachers

In recent years, it is seen that innovations and changes have taken place rapidly in many fields. The innovations brought by technology are also seen in the field of education as in many other fields. One of these innovations in the field of education is web 2.0 tools that provide many opportunities and possibilities if used in learning environments. Teachers need to keep up with these innovations and changes and assume the role of practitioners in schools. Reasons such as the fact that Web 2.0 technologies are an alternative tool in education and today's generation is interested in technology have made the use of these technologies in education important. In this research, it is aimed to determine the relationship between teachers' individual innovation characteristics and web 2.0 technologies competency levels. For this purpose, relational screening model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research. The research sample consists of 461 teachers working in different branches in secondary schools throughout Bingol province. Two separate scales were used to collect the data in the research. These scales are; The "Individual Innovation Scale" developed by Hurt, Joseph and Cook, adapted to Turkish by Kılıçer and Odabaşı (2010) and the "Web 2.0 Tools Usage Competence Scale" developed by Çelik (2021). The "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher was also used to collect information about the demographic and occupational characteristics of the teachers. The data were analyzed with SPSS 22 analysis program. Number, percentage, arithmetic mean and standard deviation analyses from descriptive statistics in the analysis of data; in order to determine the difference between the two groups, the independent groups t-test were used for parametric tests, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Welch tests were used for comparisons between three and more groups; Pearson Correlation analysis was used Dec Dec Decently to determine the relationship between the variables. As a result of the research, it was determined that teachers were mostly in the interrogator category and had a low level of innovation. While there was a significant difference according to age, branch, period of service, education level and receiving web 2.0 in service training of teachers personal innovativeness features at the level of "agree", there was no important difference according to gender. İt was seen that there was meaning full difference teachers web 2.0 competencies at the level of "rarely", according to gender age, branch, period of service, educational backround and receiving web 2.0 in-service training.
