Examination of the relations between teachers' emotional intelligence, positive psychological capital and job satisfaction

The aim of this research is to examine the relationships between teachers' emotional intelligence, positive psychological capital and job satisfaction. For this purpose, it was examined whether teachers' emotional intelligence, positive psychological capital perceptions and job satisfaction levels differed significantly according to age, gender, length of service at school, marital status, education level; The relationships between emotional intelligence, positive psychological capital and job satisfaction were revealed. The research is quantitative method and is in relational survey model. The universe of the research consisted of 52191 teachers in Izmir between the years 2020-2021. The sample of the study consists of 365 teachers selected through, random sampling. "Emotional Intelligence Scale", "Positive Psychology Capital Scale" and "Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale" were used to collect the data of the research. In the quantitative dimension of the study, the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used based on the teachers' views on emotional intelligence, positive psychological capital and job satisfaction. SPSS22 statistical program was used to analyze the data collected in this study. As a result of the research, a significant relationship was found between teachers' job satisfaction and positive psychological capital, according to correlation analysis. A significant relationship was found between teachers' emotional intelligence and job satisfaction and emotional intelligence and positive psychological capital.
