Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between teachers' gender perceptions and attitudes towards female administrators. The study is structured in a relational pattern. The universe of the study consists of 965 teachers in schools where woman managers work in primary, secondary and high schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the center and districts of Siirt province in the academic year of 2020-2021. 445 teachers selected from the universe through cluster sampling method. The Ambivalent Sexism Inventory and Attitudes Towards Women As Managers Scale (ATWOM) were used in the study. According to the findings of the study, a negative significant relationship was found between the hostile sexism, one of the sub-dimensions of ambivalent sexism, and the attitudes of teachers towards female administrators. The ambivalent sexism perceptions of teachers predict their attitudes towards female administrators. It has been determined that sub-dimensions of the ambivalent sexism can explain 21% of their attitudes towards female administrators.
