Abstract (EN)

Oguz Atay and Alain Robbe-Grillet are among the authors who have succeeded in attracting attention with their works they have dealt with from a different point of view. In this study; although the discrepancy of the nonconcurrence of individual and the effects of nonconcurrence to life of individual are examined, it has been acted out from the literary reflection of the experiences of the individuals who can not predict the effects of the different expression style that they will reveal from the conditions of the period they are in. In the works we studied during the study, it was seen that the incompatibility had rebelled against the social order by the behavior of the individuals living at the peak. As society does not accept them as they want to be, and they exclude them, they have begun to live more and more against the inner world. The individual stuck between society and himself; At Alain Robbe-Grillet, people who do not allow him to be killed, at Oguz Atay, the power to destroy society can not see itself and prefer to kill himself. So society; they kill the individual, the foundation stone of society in their works, while ruining them by excluding them. While Alain Robbe-Grillet received his works in the framework of the rules stated in the 'New Novel', Oğuz Atay generally received postmodern understanding. From the works of the two writers, we came to the conclusion that literary works like changing times and experiences, and newness in works are needed. Key Words: Oğuz Atay, Alain Robbe-Grillet, Nonconcurrence, New Novel, Postmodernism.
